Last week, I participated in Pratt Institute’s virtual hybrid lightning talk and thesis presentations where I presented my thesis, "Haptic Healing: Hands & Bread." It was an excellent opportunity to share my passion for food & Creative Arts Therapy. What a treat to be supported by my community!
A passion for food and all its forms has always been a defining characteristic of mine. Food is transformative; it engages all your senses! We have to eat to live, and it has enormous potential to fuel community connection. In my thesis, I explored bread making as a modality for arts therapy. Bread making brings people together in a shared language.
